Dr. Bruce Webb, President, Director, Founder
Dr. Webb, co-founder of ParaTechs Corporation, helps set research objectives, obtain financing and optimize company performance. He is a co-inventor on the VE-BEVS and cys-motif protein patents. Dr. Webb is a professor in the Department of Entomology and Director of the Agricultural Biotechnology Program at the University of Kentucky. His research focuses upon parasites and pathogens of insects that regulate insect development and immunity and he has served as Principal or co-Principal investigator on over $5 million in Federal Research grants. Prior this he was with the Department of Entomology, Rutgers University and Texas A&M University. Dr. Webb received his PhD in Zoology from the University of Washington. Dr. Webb has served on the editorial board for the Journal of General Virology and review panels for the USDA, EPA and NSF. Dr. Webb is author or co-author of 65 publications and has received the Thomas Poe Cooper Distinguished Research Award and the University of Kentucky Distinguished Research Professor Award.
Dr. Angelika Fath-Goodin, Vice President, Founder
Dr. Fath-Goodin, co-founder of ParaTechs Corporation, has exceptional experience in plant and insect molecular biology and has received and managed several USDA:SBIR and NIH:STTR grants. Dr. Fath-Goodin is a Scientist in the Department of Entomology, University of Kentucky. Dr. Fath-Goodin completed her PhD at the Friedrich Miescher Institute/University of Basel, Basel, Switzerland and worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher, Department of Plant and Microbial Biology, University of California, Berkeley.
Shannon Bass, Chief Executive Officer
Ms. Bass has over 17 years of management experience in the biotechnology industry encompassing sales, customer service, technical service, quality control, manufacturing and distribution. Ms. Bass also has many years of regulatory experience working with the KY Board of Pharmacy, DEA, USDA, and FDA. She has extensive experience implementing and maintaining cGMP in quality control/quality assurance and manufacturing.
